Control-M Managed Service
onboarding process
Our Control-M Managed Service onboarding process is designed to move customers safely, securely, and efficiently onto a supported managed service model.
We follow a safe and structured approach that combines commercial readiness, technical setup, migration planning, service transition, governance, and training.
Discovery and planning
We start by reviewing the existing Control-M environment, job schedules, dependencies, service criticality, and key business requirements. This helps confirm the scope, stakeholders, plan, and responsibilities.
Commercial and contractual setup
We agree the commercial model, service scope, terms and conditions, and responsibilities before delivery begins. This ensures all parties are aligned from the outset.
Technical onboarding
We prepare the technical foundations for the managed service. This includes design workshops, secure connectivity, access setup, environment configuration, and technical sign-off.
Migration preparation
We analyse the existing Control-M jobs and prepare them for migration. Jobs are grouped and prioritised based on complexity, criticality, and dependencies.
Controlled migration
Jobs are migrated in planned phases to reduce risk and protect business-critical services. Each phase includes validation, testing, issue resolution, and readiness checks before progressing.
Service onboarding
We define how the managed service will operate once live. This includes support responsibilities, incident and request processes, escalation routes, reporting, governance, and service contacts.
Training and knowledge transfer
We provide training and documentation, so customer teams understand how to use the service and engage with support. This supports a smooth operational handover.
Go-live and hypercare
Once migration and onboarding are complete, the service moves into go-live. A hypercare period provides additional support while the service stabilises.
Ongoing managed service
After hypercare, the service transitions into steady-state support. Regular governance, reporting, and continual improvement help ensure the service continues to meet business needs.
